Knit Stitch: Diagonal Seed Stitch

The diagonal seed stitch is a very easy combination of just the basic knit and purl stitch. This would be a very easy stitch for a beginner to achieve.

Cast on multiples of 6

• Row 1: (RS) *K5, P1; repeats from *  to end
• Row 2: P1, *K1, P5; repeat from * to last 5 sts, P1, K4
• Row 3:  K3, *P1, K5; repeats from *  to last 3 sts, P1, K2
• Row 4: P3, *K1, P5, repeat from *to last 3 sts, K1, P2
• Row 5: K1, *P1, K5; repeats from * to last 5 sts, P1, K4
• Row 6: *P5, K1; repeats from * to end

Repeats these six rows.

For my swatch I did the following:

• Yarn Used: Stylecraft Special DK in Violet
• Needle Size: 4.00mm
• Cast On: 26 stitches
• Row Knitted: 30
